XCMG 6-ton Hydrogen Energy Loader Lands in Shanxi, China

How to achieve a win-win situation between development and environmental protection in the mineral-rich Shanxi, , XCMG’s XC968-FCEV, the world’s first hydrogen electric loader developed in cooperation with a large local mining enterprise, has given a satisfactory answer.

XCMG’s hydrogen electric loader uses hydrogen as the power source, and the chemical reaction with oxygen in the fuel cell system generates electric current, and the products are only electricity, heat and water, which effectively reduces air pollution caused by fuel and realizes zero carbon emission.

XCMG XC968-FCEV has been delivered to the customer in March 2023, mainly responsible for the loading and transferring operation of the customer’s coal yard, and has been used for more than 1,000 hours in total.

XC968-FCEV is developed on the basis of XCMG’s third generation of pure electric loader technology, and adopts the industry’s advanced hydrogen fuel reactor and high rate battery, which is suitable for bulk material loading and unloading, transferring work in mines, coal mines, steel and so on, with real zero emission and zero pollution!

In addition to the cooperation with this user in developing hydrogen electric loaders, since 2016, more than 150 XCMG loaders including fuel, natural gas and pure electric series have been delivered to the production line one after another to boost users’ business development. At present, the operating hours of the first batch of natural gas loaders have exceeded 40,000 hours, and they are still the main force of production.
