Recently, over 60 large-tonnage rotary drilling rigs were dispatched to Wuhan to assist in the expansion of Wuhan's "1-Hour Commute Circle."
The construction site is characterized by numerous piles, complex geology, with an average pile depth exceeding 60 meters and pile diameters ranging from 1.8 to 2.5 meters. The limestone strength exceeds 100 MPa, making it a challenging environment. Several industry-leading rotary drilling rigs have entered the site for competitive performance. The XCMG 46-ton-meter rotary drilling rig successfully completed the first pile in just 10 hours, earning high praise from the project team. The 40-ton-meter rigs took 12-15 hours per pile, outperforming competitors by 60%, demonstrating exceptional efficiency.
In the HNTJ-8 section of the project, with rock hardness exceeding 130 MPa, pile depths over 60 meters, and pile diameters greater than 2.5 meters, this segment poses the greatest construction challenge. Multiple XCMG 55-ton-meter rotary drilling rigs are deployed here. These large-tonnage rigs, developed specifically for large-diameter, deep pile, and hard strata conditions, feature a proprietary chassis and are widely used in major projects such as cross-river and cross-sea bridges.
The XCMG 46-ton-meter rotary drilling rig incorporates several advanced international technologies, including a large triangular amplitude modulation mechanism, dual motor-driven single-line main hoist structure, and a self-dismantling retractable H-type chassis, all of which are internationally leading. The upgraded XR498F rotary drilling rig, from the XR460E model to meet China IV emission standards, boasts further enhanced parameters.
After successfully and efficiently completing the first pile, XCMG equipment has won the favor of the clients. "This site is indeed challenging, but we never expected the XCMG rotary drilling rig to be so efficient. With double the efficiency, the output value is also doubled. For medium and large equipment, XCMG is the top choice."
XCMG remains committed to delivering high-quality equipment for major projects and ensuring the success of significant civil engineering endeavors.
