In Maozhan expressway, a cluster composed of 9 unmanned road rollers and one RP2405 ultra-wide paver are working on the reconstruction and expansion project. The ultra-luxury construction lineup has attracted attention from all circles of life!

Maoming-Zhanjiang section of Shenyang-Haikou Expressway connects Guangdong, Guangxi and Hainan, and is the traffic artery connecting Maoming and Zhanjiang in western Guangdong and the Pearl River Delta. The reconstrued expressway will be a two-way eight lane expressway with a design speed of 120km/h. The subgrade is 42m wide and the whole line is spliced and widened on both sides.

The developer is committed to creating an intelligent quality project through the new technology and equipment of XCMG unmanned construction machinery.

As the earliest and most mature unmanned road construction equipment service provider in the industry, XCMG has provided a set of solutions to reduce cost and boost efficiency.

The unmanned construction adopts the ‘paver pilot technology’: the RP2405 paver uses the satellite positioning sensor to find the central position of the pavement and accurately locate the rolling area.

Within the safe distance, the road roller group follows closely behind, advancing and retreating at the same time. Thanks to millimeter level data management, the rollers cooperate in a timely manner to avoid problems such as leakage of pressure.

Temperature rises and daytime becomes longer, the golden stage of construction has come. The project party gives full play to the advantages of unmanned cluster construction. They ensure the quality with high-precision digital control, shorten the construction period with 24h continuous work, and calculate the construction speed and safe distance with multi-level safety control strategy.

Under the leadership of the unmanned cluster, Maozhan Expressway quickly set off an upsurge of striving for excellence. The ultra-wide asphalt pavement which is 19.5m in width is formed in one go. Up to now, the road unmanned construction cluster of XCMG has been successfully applied in the construction fields of high-grade highways, national and provincial highways, bridges, tunnels and so on.
