Recently, the Sultan Said bin Taimur road expansion project, a key transportation project under Oman's "Vision 2040" initiative, was launched. This is also the first intelligent construction project in desert conditions in the Middle East. Facing the extreme high temperatures (above 45°C) and frequent sandstorms in Oman, coupled with the lack of public network coverage, XCMG's intelligent construction cluster successfully completed the entire process of autonomous paving and compaction of a 12-meter-wide asphalt pavement.
